manuscript Critiques starting at $20
With a manuscript critique, we look at your writing, structure, and how your message or theme is being conveyed, so this is a great first step if you just want to dip your toe in the water. (Please note, pages must be formatted in Times New Roman 12 with 1" margins, double spaced). We offer both partial ($20 for 20 pages) and full manuscript critiques ($1 per page for the first 20 pages; $0.75 per page for the remaining).
What’s included: up to a 3 page review for partial critiques and a 7 page review for full critiques of your writing with feedback on your overall piece, the themes conveyed, the foundations of your story, and answers to your questions.
Slots are limited. Reach out to us to request a quote on your particular project. Half of the payment is due upon acceptance, with the remaining payment due at project completion.
Developmental editing — Starting at $0.03/word
Developmental editing should be the first step in your editing journey. This edit provides feedback on story, pacing, character development, plot, but it doesn't require that you have the entire manuscript drafted. This kind of freelance edit can fly alongside you as you draft your work.
What’s included: Practical advice for improving your manuscript, including dives into character development, pacing, structure, grammar, flow, and strategies to engage your reader. As we review your work, we may provide in-line comments on grammar and technical issues (Word, Google Docs, or PDF) for you to consider as you revise.
